The Mexican nonprofit Casa de la Amistad provides shelter, transportation, food and medications for children from low-income families with cancer. The organization has been working with Microsoft technology for years. In 2017, Casa de la Amistad’s leadership and staff decided to invest in accelerating their digital transformation journey by adopting new artificial intelligence solutions that could sort through tons of health data and provide actionable insights for each individual patient. Working with Microsoft partner Alianza Corp, Casa de la Amistad is starting to see positive results, including: improved treatment plans, better health outcomes and increased donations thanks to stronger transparency tools. The staff is also able to serve three times more children today with the same amount of resources. Casa de la Amistad’s own internal data shows the survival rates for its patients is 54% compared to the national average of 41%
